First Windows Installed

Lowes had the lower prices on the quality of windows I wanted.  So in preperation for the upcoming rain we are expecting i decided now was the time to get them installed. This should help keep the rain out.

The cool paw-printed wrap is actually roofing material that was leftover.  Normally the housewrap would not bee this heavy of material.   I am tracking down some leftover Tyvek (brand) wrap to complete the exterior walls.  A full roll covers amost three times more surface than I have so I wont go buy a new roll.

The flashing tape is the most sticky stuff I have ever used.  I have tar under almost every fingernail from trying to get the backing off.   Its hard to see but here is the tape up close.

I had to trim off all the unnecessary trim on the windows.  There was no way to use it considering the side walls were installed already.  Screws through the window frame into the studs and framing is the route I took.  Most of the holes are not visable or are small enough to ignore.  Here are two of the screws.
